Happy Easter Everyone!

I hope you all are having a blessed day, whether at home, church, or anywhere else! I've missed you all.

Tonight for Easter dinner we will be having ham, sweet potatoes, cole slaw, stuffing, deviled eggs, and apple crisp, and of course my first batch of iced tea of the season.

It is always nice to see nature come back to life in Spring. So yesterday, with my husband, I got started direct sowing some flower seeds in the garden.

I am also planting tomatoes, spinach, and scallions aplenty this year. There is a lot of garden work to do, so we're doing a little each day.

We planted two apple trees last year in our front yard -- a red delicious and a granny smith. One of them has blooms this year, which means, we might start to get some apples on them already!

It would be so nice one day in the future years to have apple pies, apple jelly, candy apples, etc. to look forward to.

Enjoy your day and I'd love to read your questions and comments below!

We've missed you too! Your Easter dinner sounds lovely. My dorm mates and I had a potluck. I brought my crock-pot broccoli cheddar soup and homemade Hawaiian rolls. It's raining here in California so the potluck was extra cozy. I would love to see your apple trees! And any book recommendations for us hopeful future-housewives :) Happy Easter!

Delora,

Thank you :) I love rain. I also love broccoli cheddar soup. So that sounds like it was a very nice Easter! I might take some pictures of the apple trees. Hopefully the deer around here do not munch them away. I am in the process of writing a book about being a traditional submissive wife. It might or might not be your taste. Have a good week ahead :D
